The Treachery of Images

A well-known work by René Magritte is often referred to as "Ceci n'est pas une pipe", but the artist’s title for it was La trahison des images - The Treachery of Images.
In this series we will explore some of the multiple relationships between words and images.

Finding an image: the relationship between the Scriptures and works of art in the West.

Rewording – text within images from Cubism to the present. Dewording – the rise of the critic, curator and theorist.
